Vice President, Global MONITOR
Kantar Consulting is seeking a global insights storyteller to help lead our Global MONITOR subscription offering by contributing to the strategic development of the product, writing and presenting key global resource reports/assets, while also serving as a sales and client liaison.
Global MONITOR is our subscription-based strategic insights and foresights platform which explores new sources of global growth and opportunity. It provides an effective means to track key marketplace dynamics and critical consumer attitudinal and value shifts that are reshaping the business environment. It integrates proprietary survey data from 25 countries with global trends frameworks, qualitative cultural insight and local ‘expressions’ of key trends into a set of tools and outputs that provide actionable intelligence to strengthen future planning. KEY OUTCOMES
• Manage project teams (e.g. colleagues, interns and freelancers) on specific deliverables + timelines to ensure quality and timely deliver by all Global MONTIOR resources; interface with production teams to resource and oversee design, proofing and distribution of deliverables
• Write product deliverables (e.g. newsletters, presentations, trends reports)
• Analyze data, conduct secondary research, and curate qualitative insights to identify key global and local-market insights for inclusion in product resources
• Support product sales effort by creating marketing support materials, providing product training to business development team, joining calls with prospective clients, and contributing to proposals as needed; support account management and consulting teams in using Global MONITOR resources with their clients
• Present Global MONITOR insights to senior-level client teams, both in person and via webinar
• Contribute ideas for product and deliverable innovation to accelerate growth and retention rates
CAPABILITIES
• 10+ years of relevant experience in consultancy/agency relating to global consumer trends, brands or market research, ideally including managing large consulting or consumer insights projects
• Analytical expertise. Ability to analyze primary and secondary quantitative and qualitative data across many different global markets, identifying trends and patterns that capture valuable insights; understanding statistical output and basic research-related issues. Creative conceptual thinker.
• Consultative, global mindset. Understand marketing, innovation and strategic planning issues from a client perspective. Can take basic Global MONITOR generated ideas and turn them into recommendations and action steps that clients can use. Sensitive and responsive to cultural differences among people. Ideally spent time living, working or doing research outside US and UK.
• Strong project management skills. Capable of staying on top of a complex multinational study with many moving parts, multiple deliverables and important deadlines; creative proactive problem solver
• Excellent writing, presenting and communication skills. Proven writing ability, both in presentation slide and white paper formats (having previously published articles, reports, or thought pieces a plus). Experience with writing, editing and delivering major presentations and reports. Capable of presenting ideas in a clear and compelling manner to a lay audience. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Collaborative approach. Great people skills. Works well in cross-functional teams. Able to recognize and excite best thinking in others.
• Commercial focus. Comfortable engaging in business development activities. Able to identify central client need and articulate product benefits in those terms. Proposes ideas to build pipeline, increase product usage among clients, or expand product reach to untapped market.
