Job Description
Visa is looking for a Financial Analyst to join the Visa Global Operating Certificate team in Foster City, California. The Op Certs are reports filed by financial institutions on a quarterly basis. Visa uses the reports to assess quarterly Service Fees and perform other industry metric analysis. The Op Certs team is responsible for assisting and training clients with the Op Certs filing, analyzing submitted data, and resolving reporting errors.
Responsibilities
• Review newly executed Issuer and Acquirer contracts to assess Visa's contractual pricing obligations
• Log and maintain key contract terms in the contract database
• Prepare complex pricing adjustment calculations (both accrual and cash basis)
• Provide guidance to the Billing team on appropriate billing system changes related to contracts
• Support Account Executives, Pricing Strategy and the Deal team on ad-hoc data analysis and requests
• Develop in-depth knowledge of Visa core billing and reporting systems
• Develop new and maintain existing financial models to monitor revenue and pricing compliance on a monthly or quarterly basis
• Perform ongoing reviews of billing systems, processes and controls through the interpretation of historical financial, operational and transactional data to mitigate the risks of potential billing errors
• Assist with the billings of quarterly card service fees and adjustments resulted from clients’ revision on Operating Certificate or based on clients’ contractual agreements
• Provide insight and actionable recommendations to Finance Operations to improve billing processes and data integrity
• Maintain and update Client Fee Schedule contents. This will require an in depth understanding of pricing changes and collaboration with product owners
• Analyze revenue data and prepare customer/product revenue reports for Management
• Support Revenue Project team and Financial Systems Strategy on Revenue Planning Analysis (RPA) initiative to replace the current billing system
• Perform quantitative analysis using data mining and database query tools to build confident level on accuracies of clients’ reporting
• Effectively communicate with internal and external business partners/clients to be an effective business partner and provide value added trainings to Visa clients
• Proficient with Excel skills to confidently use Macros and VB tools to assist with various process automations
• Assist with all other ad-hoc revenue projects and analyses and reports as needed
• Stay informed of general business/regulatory developments and their impact on the billing functions and Payment processing industry
Qualifications
• Bachelors' degree required
• Professional certification is preferred (CPA, CIA, CISA)
• 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis/modeling or audit
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel to confidently use Macros and VB tools
• Ability to adapt quickly in handling multiple / evolving tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent interpersonal skills; must be motivated, hard-working and team oriented
• Ability to produce high quality and/or final work product under strict deadlines
• Be willing to travel (20%)
