Job Description
SNI Financial is working with a very well known and highly respected Public Accounting firm located in Sturbridge, MA. With over 30 years in business and clients across multiple states, this firm is looking to add to their growing team. This client offers Industry Leading Compensation, PTO, and a flexible work schedule throughout the year, including tax season.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Minimum of 3-7 years of experience with at least 3 years in public accounting.
• CPA Strongly Preferred. CPA in Progress candidates will be considered.
• Experience with both Tax & Audit
• Experience serving a variety of industries including non profits, manufacturing, small businesses, private practice doctors, and more.
• Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of US GAAP
• Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Strong ties to the local community including networking groups, volunteering, community based programs, etc.
Essential Functions:
• Lead client audit engagements including planning executing, directing, and completing financial audits
• Supervise, train and mentor associates and interns on audit process.
• Research and analyze financial statement and audit related issues.
• Acquire a working knowledge of the client's business.
• Proactively interact with key client's management to gather information, resolve problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements.
• Perform other job related duties as necessary. Maintain general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and reports
• Reconcile, analyze and review general ledger accounts in preparation for month end close
• Prepare journal entries and reviews accounting classifications, in accordance with generally-accepted accounting principles
• Prepare documentation in support of external and internal audits
• Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis and investigate issues providing explanations and interpretation
• Performs work in a self-directed manner and works with less structured, more complex issues
• Serve as a resource to others
