SUMMARY - OVERALL ACCOUNTABILITY:
Responsible for leading the transformation of the core financial planning processes and reporting for the designated business unit as we automate manual work. This position will partner with operational leaders to build strategic plans, annual operating budgets, maintain and refine forecast models, and provide ad hoc analysis. The Director will support business case development and create tracking mechanisms to analyze the efficacy of new programs.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES - (Responsibilities):
1. Monitor & forecast key performance indicators and revenue drivers and maintain forecast models.
2. Review month-end financial reports; provide meaningful analysis and commentary on results, proactively identifying opportunities and risks to future results.
3. Analyze drivers of business unit profitability; build pro forma models for new business and acquisitions.
4. Lead the development of business cases for various functional areas, defining relevant KPIs and measuring results.
5. Look for ways to improve process efficiency and make process improvements to minimize repetitive tasks.
6. Plan, Prepare, analyze, and coordinate Annual Budget processes with Operations.
7. Work directly with Operations team to recommend specific actions to drive improved financial results.
8. Present ad hoc analysis and specialized reports to senior leadership.
9. Lead the development and maintenance of automated reporting using IBM TM1 and Cognos BI.
10. Partner with accounting to review inventory valuations, revenue accruals, other key financial policies.
11. Assist with special projects, adhoc analysis and other areas of Finance as needed.
1. Train team members as required in new areas of reporting/review/analysis to ensure cross training & team development.

• Working knowledge of predictive analytics and statistical analysis.
Education / Work Experience:
• Post secondary degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• Completed a recognized CPA designation program preferred.
• Minimum ten years of related financial management background with hands-on experience in Personal Loans, Payday, or Installment Lending in a mid to large sized financial services organization or Banks.
Working Conditions:
Physical Effort: Light to moderate.
Physical Environment: Standard office type environment. Periodic weekend or evening work may be required.
Sensory Attention: 75 - 85% time reading Computer monitor.
Mental Stress: Moderate to high.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent from a four year college or university
• Master's Degree in Business Administration/Accounting/Finance and/or Professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA, CFA) strongly preferred
