The Role
This position will perform and deliver on routine and non-routine assignments for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility independently in accordance with established procedures/guidelines. S/he will manage more complex EDI file processes for implementation, file maintenance and servicing ensuring that all information is complete and in good order for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Responsibilities
• Manages more complex EDI file processes for implementation, file maintenance and servicing in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, in a timely manner and meeting departmental quality/production standards.
• Executes assigned more complex EDI file transfers according to production and test schedules.
• Creates more complex import specifications for data integration software mappings and schemas to facilitate file processing
• Monitors and reviews more complex EDI data and files (larger/specially handed clients) to ensure proper completion and that the information is in good order.
• Reruns more complex EDI transactions as required and escalates unresolved EDI transactions to senior team members and/or management.
• Performs tests of assigned more complex file transfers.
• Troubleshoots issues with electronic file transfers to identify more complex root cause and issue resolution, partnering with Technical Analysts to deliver solutions.
• Create reports and Excel spreadsheets for data reporting and problem solving
• Escalates increasingly complex EDI processing and file transfer issues/concerns to more senior team members and/or management.
• Performs recovery operations for increasingly complex EDI transactions as required, hosting and directing service discussions involving the client and internal partners.
• Provides customer service to internal and/or external stakeholders, recognizes what needs to be done to meet customer needs and demonstrates flexibility and responsiveness to meet customer needs.
• Recognizes general issues/concerns for assigned area(s) of responsibility and suggests process improvements.
• Ensures integrity of customer data in compliance with PHI and HIPAA guideline.
• Creates new or updates existing increasingly complex EDI accounts as needed.
• Communicates more complex file results to clients via appropriate communication method, engaging in frequent follow up activity to ensure smooth and timely onboarding.
• Researches and resolves high priority escalated issues/concerns with a sense of urgency in order to foster a recommendable customer experience.
• Supports and promotes change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
• Delivers routine and non-routine work independently, in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, in a timely manner and meets deadlines appropriately.
• Makes routine and non-routine decisions, applying limited but increasingly more discretion within role except for matters of significance which affect the business as a whole or a significant part of it, in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Provides a diverse range of information and performs a diverse range of tasks/transactions related to common programs and services.
• Applies expanded knowledge obtained from the role in increasingly more complex situations and continues to acquire more knowledge to apply in role.
• Supports and promotes change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
• Meets or exceeds departmental quality and service standards.
• Works overtime as needed.
• Carries out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines. Complies with all company and site policies and procedures.
• Remains current in profession and industry trends.
• Makes a positive contribution as demonstrated by: - Making suggestions for improvement - Learning new skills, procedures and processes
• Performs other duties as required.
Education & Experience
• 2 - 3 Years of EDI processing experience that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position (Required)
• High School Diploma or GED
