Conduct fundamental credit analysis of domestic and international corporate and bank risks to make conclusions and recommendations that support the underwriting process.
Primary responsibilities
• Assist in the evaluation and on-going monitoring of the global risk portfolio by understanding credit principles and best practices, applying sound credit judgment and adhering to established company policies
• Determine corporate creditworthiness by examining qualitative and quantitative components of credit risk, performing financial statement and ratio analysis and providing credit conclusions and recommendations
• Support underwriters in client relationship and business development activities by using high degree of business acumen and credit expertise
• Perform research on company background, industry trends and operating environments by assessing transaction structure, risks and mitigation strategies and reviewing macroeconomic conditions to present conclusions and recommendations to senior leaders
• Participate in the identification of information sources, testing of risk analysis models and gathering of reference information by regularly analyzing and reviewing data to ensure business growth and development

Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Experience
3 years relevant experience

Experience in a credit underwriting environment
Knowledge
• Events affecting various industries, including understanding of competition and the marketplace
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Working knowledge of fundamental credit analysis

Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is not substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Must have the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. Must be able to operate basic office equipment including telephone, headset and computer. Incumbent must be able to lift basic office equipment up to 20 pounds.
