Description
The Senior IT Security Professional within the Corporate Security and Resilience (CS&R) Identity and Access Management (IAM) team is a subject matter expert who, through independent project engagements and collaboration with business and technology partners, as well as third party vendors, designs and engineers the information security IAM platforms for the enterprise.
This role is responsible for the design, engineering, and ensuring that security is “built into” the organization’s application and IAM platforms, including third party vendor connectivity and interactions. The Sr IT Security Professional maintains current knowledge of new products, security threats and recommends security enhancements and purchases that allow Citizens Bank to maintain healthy and functional systems.
Responsibilities Include:
• Gaining a comprehensive understanding of the company’s IAM technology and information systems and capabilities.
• Researching and evaluating proposed engineering solutions for adherence to documented company standards, policies and regulatory responsibilities.
• Planning and implementing application security measures to protect computer systems, networks and data.
• Determining IAM security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements, researching information security standards, conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments and identifying integration issues.
• Planning security systems by evaluating IAM technologies; developing requirements for all areas related to Identity and Access Management.
• Acting as the subject matter expert with regards to strengths and weaknesses of the IAM systems and being able to engineering improvements.
• Assessing emerging IAM technologies to determine where they fill gaps, overlap with existing solutions or extend capabilities.
• Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and Business Units to implement and support existing and future solutions.
Location is not a barrier for this role and while our preference would be to have a chosen candidate with onsite capabilities in one of our corporate headquarters – we are open to remote employment within the United States for an experienced candidate.
Qualifications
Experience and Skills:
• 10 or more years in system security administration, controls or information management experience and/or Security Engineer/Architect/Consultant
• End to end understanding of the software development lifecycle
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product and technical challenges.
• Experience in defining and implementing IAM security and solid understanding of best practices
• Design and implementation knowledge of IAM protocols and architecture (SSO, SAML, OAuth, Federation, etc)
• Familiarity with security industry standards (ISO 17799, ISO 27001/2, ISO 31000, NIST 800 series, etc.)
• Familiarity with routing, switching configurations and management, firewalls, DHCP, WINS, DNS, and wireless services
• Experience with internal controls, risk assessments, business process and internal IT control testing or operational auditing
• Demonstrated ability leading programs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Industry experiences in financial services, high-tech, and /or healthcare preferred
Education and Certifications:
• BA/BS in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
• CISSP, CREA, CEH, CPT, CEPT, CWAPT or other relevant security certifications and knowledge of ISO and NIST security standards preferred
