Description
Amegy Bank – Dallas is looking for a seasoned Community Sales Development Officer with a talent and passion for building and maintaining relationships with various local businesses in our South Dallas communities.
This position is responsible for representing the company in our South Dallas communities and working on activities that will increase sales through business development efforts and/or act as a referral source to our bank Relationship Officers.
Ideal candidates will have the skills and experience necessary to:
• Work with non-profits organizations, cities, counties, state, military, and other public and private entities to develop programs to promote various banking services.
• Represent the company in the community and thru economic development activities while acting as a business development/referral source in target market areas.
• Establish and maintains relationships with community organizations and businesses.
• Represent company in aspects of community outreach to assess community and business credit needs. Identifies and refers business lending opportunities.
• Participate in the screening and decision-making process of individual and other community development loans.
• Monitor and maintains current knowledge of local business, markets and developments efforts.
• Develop strategies and expanding referral sources.
• Gather data to be used in selling process, participating in community organizations and activities, and assisting prospective clients in completing loan and services applications.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Requires a Bachelors in marketing, communications, business or related field and 4+ experience in community relations and development, business development or other directly related experience.
• Knowledge of local community and economic activities, sales techniques, banking products and services. Local candidates with existing COI’s, networks and pipelines are strongly preferred.
• Must have excellent customer relations, negotiation and communications skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be able to use various word processing and spreadsheet software.
