The Role / Responsibilities:
The Associate Operations Analyst role directly supports a Quality Assurance function reviewing Rating Process documentation and has responsibility for the data integrity of the tracking database through monitoring, investigation and resolution of data irregularities.
• Perform global tactical operations activities and participate in cross-functional projects related to the end-to-end MIS ratings process, business transformation directives and evolving regulatory requirements
• Monitoring and managing data integrity of the rating process output, including documents, reports and communications for quality control oversight; researching to highlight any discrepancies and investigating queries to isolate problems and propose solutions
• Identify and proactively research issues, exceptions and discrepancies with data, propose solutions, escalate as needed, and follow up to resolve
• Proactively connect with local and regional team members to solve problems, build consensus on and make recommendations for a path forward when faced with an obstacle or new scenario
• Provide a high level of service to internal and external customers and business partners, and be a helpful and responsive resource to the immediate team and managers
• Regularly prepare senior management reporting and performance metrics
• Identify and track the status of outstanding projects (including issues, risks, and dependencies)
• Collaborate with team members to develop and update content and training materials (e.g. communications, SOPs, Guidelines, FAQ’s, presentations, etc.)
• Develop Subject Matter Expertise on the end to end Rating Process and documentation requirements as well as related Policies, Procedures and Guidelines
• Run and maintain daily/weekly reporting to support workflow processes, management reporting and the Quality Assurance data environment
• Limited amount of data entry needing a high level of accuracy
• Undertake various ad-hoc reporting tasks from Rating Groups and line Management
• Monthly Archiving; monitoring of library levels and archiving older data when needed
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Undergraduate BA/BS degree in business, finance/economics, management or similar field
• 2-5 years of business process or business analysis experiences with strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability analyze raw data and present it in an understandable and useful way
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with an ability to interpret and effectively communicate complex business concepts or policies/guidance to a senior audience
• Meticulous attention to detail and sound judgment when reviewing and presenting data
• Agility managing and prioritizing high workload volumes, proactive, continually seeking ways to make improvements in the process/team/work environment
• Willing to take ownership and pride in the process and the team’s deliverables, and motivated to provide a high level of service
• Highly organized and efficient; able to juggle multiple in-progress deliverables and move them forward
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well within a team atmosphere as a supportive, helpful team member to internal and external business partners
• Able to interact comfortably with different levels of management and articulate/present issues clearly and succinctly
• Self-motivated with the ability to meet tight individual and/or group deadlines
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel (VBA, macros, excel functions, etc.)
• Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint required; JIRA experience beneficial
• Knowledge of Moody’s rating systems, analysis tools and operational processes a plus
Department/Team
RTS owns and manages the MIS Remediation Program, operational control framework and global tactical operations teams as well as supports the end-to-end transactional rating process through workflow coordination and rating desk services.
