Job Description Summary
Provide ongoing operational support to Transamerica’s Asset Allocation and Advice products which help Defined Contribution participants save and invest for retirement. Set up and maintain these investment services by creating and updating investment portfolios on the record keeping system. Run tracking and audit reporting on the services on a daily basis. Act as a subject matter expert on the existing investment services and work with the Product team to drive updates and enhancements to the services. Provide input on automation, efficiencies, reporting, marketing materials and digital product enhancements.
Responsibilities:
• Load investment portfolios to set investment services up for new clients, and update portfolios for existing clients.
• Take responsibility over a project to design automation for the portfolio load process by working directly with IT and other internal teams.
• Work with internal teams and external clients and advisors to communicate Transamerica’s operational process and the methodology behind the investment services.
• Investigate participant level concerns, questions, or individuals flagged on audit reports.
• Review record keeping system transactions; work with production support teams to fix or escalate issues.
• Drive system enhancements to automate processes, reduce risks, and increase quality; oversee automation, quality checks, and assist investment advisor/consultant end users. Obtain feedback from appropriate groups in Product, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, IT, Production Support, Relationship Management, Distribution, and Advice Center to ensure overall needs are met.
• Identify requirements for system enhancements; lead testing and implementation for system enhancements from the product perspective.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, computer science, actuarial science, or equivalent experience.
• Five years of relevant experience in financial technology, retirement record keeping, product, data or investment analysis.
• Experience in the investment or retirement industry.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel to manage with large data sets.
• Experience writing queries.
Preferred Qualifications:
• In-depth knowledge of investment products used in defined contribution accounts.
• Understanding of asset allocation types for long term investment strategies.
• Knowledge of P3, AQT.
• Knowledge of Transamerica’s retirement record keeping system.
• Knowledge of Transamerica’s plan sponsor and participant websites.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to develop advanced reporting and automation capabilities.
• Organizational and prioritization skills to work on multiple assignments through to completion.
