Job Description:
At Regions, the Enterprise Risk Governance Analyst provides a governance structure to ensure risks are monitored and reviewed regularly. May serve as lead or subject matter expert for more complex projects.
Primary Responsibilities
• Leads the development and implementation of internal risk and control structures to ensure objectivity and consistency of risk assessment, management and reporting across the organization
• Drive alignment with business stakeholders by partnering with other COE team members on:
◦ Foundational Elements governance – assist in management of Foundational Element implementation and oversight of change control evaluation and process
◦ Analyze/design – partner in facilitating or driving discussions to pursue performance improvement opportunities, while considering GRC best practices
◦ UAT/Training/Monitoring – coordinate with business stakeholders across risk programs to drive effective and efficient “customer” interactions for the GRC program, ensuring emphasis and measurement of value delivery
• Coordinates the compilation, data aggregation, and updating of enterprise-level financial and/or non-financial risk metrics
• Analyzes risk data and/or prepares risk assessments, including maintaining supporting workpapers
• Strategically collaborates with business partners, technology teams, and other specialized risk management teams to understand functional requirements, streamline processes, and standardize risk policies
• May develop complex queries, program metrics and overall data governance strategy to safeguard data integrity and drive stakeholder consensus
• May coordinate project/change management, design, implementation, and relationship management
• May create presentations, job aids, training materials, and reporting tools, including SharePoint, databases, and eGRC tools/reporting
• May coordinate the setting of the agenda and the development of materials, including drafting minutes for various risk committees
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management or a business related field
• Eight (8) years of experience risk management, financial industry, or related business field
Preferences
• Extensive understanding of databases and data structures
• Solid understanding of privacy laws
• Proficiency with Archer, SQL, Microsoft Power BI, and/or Tableau
• Prior process improvement/ process optimization exposure
• Prior solution development or implementation experience
Skills and Competencies
• Strong knowledge of enterprise risk and operational risk management framework, principles, and practices
• Superior written skills and experience in creating executive and Board risk reporting, under the direction of management
• Excellent project management skills and multi-tasking skills
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Project, and Outlook)
