What Does A Great Product Marketing Director Do? A strategic thinker who will craft differentiated messaging and positioning for the EPM products – in existing and new markets. You'll be a dynamic thinker with a flair for taking complex materials and turning them into compelling messages that show how we clearly solve validated market problems. You can conceive and develop innovative marketing programs that drive significant growth - and you have the highest standards and pride in what you take to market. In your role you will be the expert in buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria and will transfer that knowledge to the sales channel. You will have attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits.
POSITION PURPOSE:
You will be responsible for all product marketing activities for our Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) business. You will report to the divisional head of marketing (VP Marketing) and will work closely with the EPM business line and be fully accountable to this business.
• You will deliver depth of critical thinking, market insights and analysis to direct product marketing strategy, plans, and budget for Line of Business and products to achieve financial and growth targets.
• Develop comprehensive Go To Market plans in support of new products and releases, and lead the cross-functional implementation of the plan
• Drive the conception and development of modern demand generation marketing programs to deliver pipeline & financial goals
• Sales enablement – communicate the value proposition of the products and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of your products
• Lead partnerships with key business partners, including executive leadership, sales, product management, corporate marketing, operations, finance, legal, etc. to ensure portfolio and business success
• Market intelligence – be the expert on your buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on your competition and how to crush them
• Ensure the continuous improvement of the product marketing function, through investment in people, process, technology and measurement for this function.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Strategy, or Communications
• 10+ years of experience in Product Marketing
• You have demonstrated success in effectively leading product marketing through key stages of lifecycle from strategy through to execution with Pragmatic Marketing framework
• Strong working knowledge of business financial practices and business case development, budget and P &L experience
• Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in marketing standards and practices (Pragmatic Marketing, Sirius Decisions, Marketing Automation) with particular appreciation for the end-to-end product marketing discipline.
• Understand client needs and translate them into innovative product marketing plans.
• You have validated ability to understand complex business and technical concepts and make fair judgments when faced with trade-offs.
• Strong analytical skills and able to build consensus.
• Good communication and presentation skills with the skills to interact at all levels of the organization and with clients from C-level to technical and operation levels.
• Strong results orientation with demonstrated track record of success. High degree of adaptability/flexibility in dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Domestic travel as needed, up to 20% of the time
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
• MBA preferred
• Experience working in the Banking or Credit Union industry
