Description
This role will require the incumbent to perform the following duties:
• Contribute to the preparation of SEC filings and other external reporting, including the preparation and/or management of key elements of the annual proxy statement, including the compensation tables and related source files. Compile and present executive compensation data as required to auditors and external agencies as required, working with legal counsel to ensure compliance (8-K, 10-K, 10-Q, Forms 3 and 4, etc.).
• Assist with the administration of the company’s equity compensation plan, including the following: conducting valuations and reviewing documentation relating to buy-out awards; preparing award agreements; contributing to award recipient communications; and creating and maintaining a stock ownership tracking system and producing annual statements.
• Analyze and provide recommendations relating to the design of executive compensation programs, including modelling funding scenarios and eligibility for the annual bonus plan and pay mix for participants in our long term incentive program.
• Partner with the Head of Reward and other compensation team members to ensure appropriate positioning of base pay, total cash and total direct compensation relative to the market, and identify and participate in appropriate market surveys.
• Assist in the preparation and coordination of compensation committee materials.
• Maintain an internal database of peer compensation information from public filings.
• Facilitate and administer the annual executive goal setting process.
• Partner with Finance in order to accomplish the following: Ensure appropriate financial controls are in place for incentive compensation and equity programs; analyze cost implications of current and proposed plans; monitor actual expenses to plan; and ensure accuracy and timeliness of accruals.
• Provide analytic support for HR due diligence in corporate acquisitions.
• Provide consultative expertise on compensation program design and administration to senior management, line managers and human resources business partners.
• Perform other duties, as required.
Qualifications
• Required Skills/Experience
• 3-5 years’ experience as a compensation analyst in a public company
• Advanced MS Excel skills & MS PowerPoint skills required.
• Familiarity with financial statements and financial terminology. Finance degree or background preferred.
• Strong project management skills.
