Lead Systems Analyst, Vice President
Job Summary:
Experienced Systems Analyst needed to participate on development efforts for large team working on project and maintenance activities. The candidate must have experience working as a Systems Analyst on a functional team and with working with a systems development team. The candidate should have experience configuring and supporting the OFSAA LRM.
The candidate should also have extensive development expertise with Oracle forms and PL/SQL databases, including stored procedures, database triggers and database packages. A willingness to work in a fluid environment with high adaptability to change is a must for this position. The candidate should also be able to work cooperatively with cross-functional teams with minimal direction from senior management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for this position
Major Responsibilities
• Facilitate, document and analyze complex user business processes and requirements.
• Analyze current business processes, build current process model diagrams and make recommendations on changes to improve process.
• Build design documents based on meetings, JAD sessions or other requirements gathering tools, with developers and end-users.
• Leads in defining the user requirements and makes sure they are addressed in application implementation.
• Influences business users in redefining the business processes to maximize application usage as required. Recommends “builds” only for differentiation.
• Perform data analysis, profiling, and validation of new data sources, involving loans, deposits and other security related data.
• Integrate with MUB Data Management Office to ensure continuity and consistency of data integrity and data quality across all Finance technology platforms and solutions.
• Create systems test plans and then ultimately perform system testing for assigned change requests, tax updates and patch bundles/upgrades.
• Provide functional support to the technical team in systems development and act as an liaison between end users and the technical team members.
• Lead in testing of new or modified systems. Work with the QA team in conducting multiple levels of testing from stress, performance and standard application testing.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an IT-related field with 6-8 years related experience
• In-depth understanding of Banking and risk management and experience in implementing Capital or Liquidity regulatory framework for banks (Basel III and Dodd Frank Stress Tests)
• Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical groups on a regular basis to maintain transparency on work efforts and to ensure design and implementation is understood by all team participants
• Must possess organizational, problem-solving skills and time management skills and be able to meet deadlines.
• Strong personal ownership and commitment to quality. Willing to contribute to team management decisions and speak up with a view or opinion, and add value by questioning and probing where necessary to ensure a thorough and robust solution at each stage in the project lifecycle.
• Commitment to the business users and self-motivation to take ownership of issues and initiatives.
• Effective verbal and written communicator, able to adapt delivery style and language to suit the audience. Able to present complex issues and solutions to mixed audiences, where necessary resolving conflict and complexity by delivering practical solutions
