Vice President, Real Time Payment Product Development
Overview:
New Payment Flows is a new team established in NAM to develop break through business opportunities/revenues and bring to them to market. Our focus is business payments – an area which is ripe for disruption and innovation, valued at over $25 Trillion in North America alone and the ideal opportunity to capitalize on both our Vocalink acquisition and the US and Canadian shift to real time payments. Because our mandate is so unique and innovative, our role scope is broad and includes product strategy, product development, product go-to-market planning/execution, customer needs identification and product sales.
The VP, Real Time Payment Product Development, will lead the development and commercialization of real time payment product strategies and plans for NAM in the B2B and Disbursement spaces. This includes defining and developing the strategic framework, use cases, project plans, business constructs, and models for building break-out revenue businesses successfully in NAM. This role requires an individual who is comfortable with ambiguity and thrives on breaking entirely new ground. He/She should be an excellent communicator and collaborator, and have a strong flair for business development. A background in b2b (supply chain, b2b networks) is ideal.
Role
• Define and execute the New Payment Flows product development and commercialization strategy for B2B and Disbursements in North America (NAM)
• Create opportunity assessments on new ideas and concepts, quickly honing in on the biggest opportunities for scale and revenue
• Launch new product constructs to market with a robust go to market plan and execution
• Determine how existing products, capabilities (e.g., standards) and partnerships can advance MasterCard’s position in the real time payment space
• Support development of execution plans and metric-based goals and objectives
• Be a team leader and manage a high-performing team; lead cross-functional teams through influence and collaboration

• Strong passion for and knowledge/expertise of technology, payments, business payments; strong desire to always be learning
• Excellent influencing and business development skills
• Self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering success while operating in a team and/or cross functional environment
• Forward-thinking, with ability to deliver creative approaches to solve business pain points
• Analytical and problem solving skills with an ability to identify key issues, structure analysis and provide recommendations effectively
• Ability to develop strategic points of view and to facilitate or lead discussions and debate
• Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation, analytical, and project management skills
• Bachelor’s degree required, Advanced degree preferred
• B2B experience such as supply chain payments and/or B2B networks is ideal
