Job Summary:
Cloud Infrastructure Operations & Engineering, Director is responsible for leading the transformation and cloud strategy of the key TIO Infrastructure product areas. This highly visible senior leadership role will be responsible for Infrastructure platforms strategy, roadmap creation, and technical implementation of the IT Transformation program for in-scope Infrastructure product areas. Responsible for creating an exciting and energizing environment focused on its people, processes, and technologies during a period of tremendous change; leading with a balanced approach to quality, risk, and cost; driving efficiency and effectiveness throughout the organization; building a strong bench of future leaders. Identifies, manages, and mitigates risk.
Major Responsibilities:
• Lead the roadmap and design of the Cloud Infrastructure with a focus on AWS and Azure using industry best practices and steer solutions to standardized design patterns across Applications, Platforms and Infrastructure
• Lead delivery of Cloud Infrastructure strategies aligned with business objectives with a focus on mass Application movements into the Cloud involving design, implementation and Infrastructure automation
• Lead implementation of all IT Transformation Program technical aspects related to in-scope Infrastructure platforms, cloud adoption, migration, and transformation of remaining on-premise solutions
• Build a high performing team of Cloud Infrastructure SMEs and platform leads while mentoring traditional platform SMEs on cloud computing best practices, technology, and adoption
• Research new cloud technologies and prototype solutions that can be leveraged to decrease costs and increase performance and keep abreast of the evolving technologies and IAAS & PAAS trends
• Executes POCs and feasibility studies to validate next-gen product concepts and technologies leveraging results to guide business and technology decisions
• Drive selection of appropriate tools and direct implementation of target state Infrastructure cloud solutions, cloud service management, and service catalog integration
• Work closely with Enterprise Architecture and Information Security to specify and document solutions and practices
• Drive cloud/technology discussions and facilitate decisions with other departments within the organization
Qualifications
• Minimum 15 years of experience as an IT Infrastructure technical lead or architect responsible for large scale Infrastructure programs; consulting experience is preferred
• Minimum 5 years of cloud strategy and transformation leadership with cloud services implementation & migration to public, private or hybrid clouds
• Experience implementing and operating an enterprise-scale cloud, including IaaS/PaaS (Azure or Amazon Web Services), service catalog and service enablement automation
• In-depth knowledge of traditional Compute (Windows, UNIX, Mainframe) and Storage platforms, Virtualization, Desktop Technologies, Messaging & Active Directory, Voice and Data network Infrastructures
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering or related field from an accredited college/university; Master’s degree preferred along with relevant industry certifications (e.g. Microsoft, AWS, Cisco, and VMware)
• Executive presence with very strong leadership attributes, business acumen, analytical, problem solving and verbal and written communication skills with willingness to travel
• Passion for leading change and ability to bring others along
