In this role, you will prepare, enhance, or coordinate reports in a variety of frequencies on behalf of the AIG L&R & GI Chief Investment Officer team. Recipients include consultants and insurance carrier screening committees, Senior Leadership, Insurance Company Boards and Management, Regulators & Rating Agencies and the CIO team itself.
This role reports to the VP of Insurance Portfolio Management and will work across the CIO groups and AIG on a continual basis to leverage and rationalize the efficiency and effectiveness of reporting across the organization.
Responsibilities include:
• Prepare detailed monthly to annual time frame investment reports for presentation to: Internal Investment Committee, Insurance Company Boards, Business Units, Regulators & Ratings Agencies and the CIO team.
• Act as the primary coordinator & distributor and where feasible the originator for the CIO Team’s deliverables to shared information platforms such as Dashboards and automated email internal distribution lists.
• Analyze and evaluate for reasonableness the period to period changes in invested asset classes and related characteristics such as ratings, duration and book yield.
• Work with internal technology teams in the automation of relevant reports.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
• Deadline oriented.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience in programming, and/or working with Information Technology is a plus.
• 2-3 years of experience at presentation design preferably from an insurance company or a third party asset manager, GAAP and/or Statutory financial reporting experience a plus.
• Financial services experience, preferably in fixed income asset management, as well as the ability to deliver high quality investment reporting on a multitude of portfolio characteristics.
• Knowledge of Fixed Income reporting systems, preferably MicroStrategy, Barclay’s Systems, Bloomberg, experience with insurance industry accounting systems are also key value adds.
• Bachelor’s degree in the fields of business, finance, economics, operations, computer science or engineering.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills to clearly articulate sophisticated concepts, ideas and processes.
• Ability to present reports effectively to key insurance company, parent company AIG Investments staff.
• Flexible, self-starter, inquisitive with problem solving skills.
