SUMMARY
Manages the development, implementation and administration of wage and salary, performance appraisal and variable pay programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Conduct job analysis interviews with various department leaders to create accurate job descriptions.
• Performs job evaluation, survey participation, salary planning, as well as market and equity analysis.
• Provides consultation to management and Human Resources regarding market trends, job, classifications, and application of compensation programs, policies, and guidelines.
• Conducts research, analyzes data, prepares and presents recommendations requiring a broad understanding of compensation techniques, methods, practices and regulations.
• Reviews new positions to determine and/or recommend FLSA status and evaluates existing positions for compliance.
• Applies job evaluation techniques to establish equitable and appropriate titles, salary ranges, pay rates, exemption assignments and benefit levels.
• Manages the design, implementation and administration of compensation programs, policies and guidelines for employees.
• Performs other duties as required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or Business.
• Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification highly desirable.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of hands on compensation experience to include solid incentive compensation design and delivery experience.
• Requires significant knowledge of compensation policies, practices and procedures.
• Knowledge and application of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
• Excellent and effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with various department personnel.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills to perform multiple work assignments.
• Proven leadership, strong relationship builder and conflict resolution skills.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Proficient computer and accurate keyboard skills in utilizing computer applications such as MS Word and Excel, including creating Pivot tables and utilizing V-look-up features or other similar HRIS tools.
• Workday experience preferred.
• Must have strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be a self-starter, self-motivated and a team player.
• Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of company information.
• Must be able to use basic office equipment, including copy machine, personal computer, and fax.
• Must be able to type 35 WPM.
• Able to travel locally or nationally by car or plane
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time performing sedentary activities.
• Must be able to stand, stoop, and kneel to file for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 20lbs of files, supplies, documents, or other related items.
