Description
This position possesses a broad understanding of marketing project execution. This role is responsible for both strategic and tactical project management of communication campaigns. Responsible for the overall execution of marketing projects for assigned clients. Handles more complex projects with clients that are higher level and/or larger in revenue or regarding with little or no direction and takes on special projects as assigned by management. Identifies and makes recommendations regarding upgrade or cross-sell opportunities for revenue generation or preservation. Assists in the execution of testing to challenge controls and continuously improve creative. Evaluates available delivery channels to make recommendations regarding the optimal mix at the client and campaign level. Assists in presenting strategy/creative brief to clients and facilitating client approval of annual marketing plan. Helps prepare and present annual marketing stewardship reports.
Responsibility
• Plans, develops, and executes multiple communication projects.
• Set clear expectations and goals for marketing strategy.
• Build and collaborate work plans, effectively communicating progress to stakeholders at multiple levels, including those external to the organization.
• Tracks progress, milestones, and budget of marketing plans.
• Maintain quality by enforcing organizational standards and procedures.
• Identify and resolve issues.
• Works with internal and external resources to ensure client specific marketing projects are completed accurately, on-time and within budget.
• Sets up campaign in marketing tracking system (MOM). Includes creation of project number, mail split grid, form number grid, etc.
• Prepares looping document for internal, compliance, carrier, and client reviews. Coordinates across teams and client management to incorporate updates.
• Creates comprehensive list spec to include audience, segmentation criteria, suppressions, and personalization requirements.
• Completes vendor instructions (VI) form for print vendor. Coordinates production meetings to review VI and final campaign materials.
• Receives and reviews color and personalization proofs received from print vendor. Ensures that personalization, branding, logos, etc. are accurately reflected and provides final approval for printing.
• Maintains and manipulates internal marketing or administrative systems to ensure costs and other project-level information is up-to-date and accurate or in order to analyze demographic data.
• Reviews campaign results with management to measure success or projects and outline recommendations for future campaigns.
• Provides mentorship to junior staff.
• Participates in client marketing meeting/calls to discuss marketing activity.
• Collaborates with internal teams, clients, and carriers to define strategy.
• Assists in the development of client specific marketing plans and budgets to include all viable marketing channels.
• Submit comprehensive creative brief to copywriter/designer and secures SOW and Purchase Order. Reviews creative draft with manager. Coordinates revisions with copywriter/designer.
Qualifications
Education
• College degree in marketing or related field required.
Experience
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in consumer direct marketing and/or business-to-business direct marketing or equivalent in experience or demonstrated capabilities.
• Experience in insurance industry preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
• Demonstrates excellence in written and oral communication to effectively present new concepts and drive outcomes.
• Persuasive negotiating skills as measured through ability to convince key internal and external stakeholders to approve and support firm-developed marketing strategies.
• Demonstrates experience in direct response marketing strategy development and execution.
