The Operations Specialist is responsible for assisting the Director of Operations in the day-to-day service of our clients.
In this role, you will:
Assist with invoicing client renewals
Responsible for monthly invoicing comparison for current vs. prior year and follow-up with service team on renewals
Assist with calculating and filing surplus lines tax related to client policies
Research surplus lines tax compliance relating to filing and license requirements by state
Oversee cash on account process for the commercial lines department – including weekly review, service team outreach and client correspondence
Assist with administrative functions around mergers & acquisition activity in the Midwest region
Complete outreach to staff about upcoming CE requirements and licensing renewals
Update broker management system with necessary information
Ability to run reports from broker management system
What you offer us:
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university
2+ years of accounting experience preferred
General understanding of insurance and broker management system preferred
