We are seeking an SVP Product Management to architect and build our next generation data platform used to power analytics, machine learning efforts, user-facing products, and business decisions. We’re looking for a leader that can combine their social skills with a deep knowledge of product management to deliver an extraordinary data science platform that drives a groundbreaking approach to decision-making. You will serve as a product authority, combining your technical and industry knowledge with end-user feedback to guide the overall priorities.
Responsibilities:
• Define the vision and strategy for the loanDepot / mello Home Services data platform, aligned to overall organizational and business objectives
• Work closely with business stakeholders, consumer and business-user facing product, and analytics teams to understand use cases and requirements
• Partner with engineering to deliver enterprise-scale data solutions that meet business demands
• Launch and evangelize new capabilities with data science teams, partners and product engineering teams to ensure they are full utilizing the best solutions possible.
• Establish, monitor and publish KPIs aligned to business Ensure continuous improvement across KPIs and tie KPI changes to top and bottom line impacts
• Set and maintain the quality bar for product specifications favoring simplicity and clarity and removing distractions, over-architecture, and bad design decisions
Requirements:
• 10+ years of product management experience. Demonstrated experience with big data architecture
• Experience defining product vision and strategy
• Using a metrics driven product development approach
• Creating product specifications, user scenarios, and preliminary concepts
• Experience partnering with engineering teams to deliver products
• Comfortable with quick iteration and experimentation
• Creative problem solving skills, analytical thinker and passion for new technology
• Experience with distributed computing, big data technologies and constructing knowledge graphs
• Experience working with data to power machine learning based products
• The ability to work in a fast-paced, agile and collaborative cross-team environment
• Experience with cloud computing platforms.
• Experience with AWS technologies such as Kinesis, S3, and EMR or similar
• Experience with open source technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and Presto or similar
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred)
