The Procurement Specialist position is responsible for coordinating and supporting activities to facilitate the contract life cycle. Review contract terms and conditions to monitor compliance with company policies, changes and modifications. You will be responsible for supporting cross-functional teams in qualifying vendors, selecting vendors offering the best overall value, negotiating contract terms and conditions, working with the Legal Department to mitigate legal and regulatory risks, implementing contracts, and monitoring and managing vendor performance on an on-going basis.
Responsibilities:
• Review and negotiate simple contracts, typically using First American contract templates
• Provide administrative support and some contract execution for multiple commodities as assigned
• Provide administrative support for contract development and execution
• Gather and compile information, track timelines, generate reports, maintain database, track metrics
Qualifications:
• General purchasing and contract knowledge
• 1-3 years experience in sourcing of indirect goods and services
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management
• Basic MS Office skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Detail oriented and organized
