Position Overview
This position is a working team lead with oversight over a team of individuals responsible for the preparation of legal commercial loan documentation to support the Commercial Loan Closing Administration department. This area is responsible for the review of credit approvals for detailed loan structure and collateral requirements, provides a significant level of independent analysis to ensure loan documentation created appropriately supports the approved structure, expected repayment instructions, and collateral perfection. The Loan Closing Administration department is responsible for closing all approved commercial loans in accordance to the credit approval and credit policy while ensuring the completion of all required due diligence items prior to booking and funding.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead a team in the creation of legal commercial loan documentation within LaserPro to support the Loan Closing Administration Department.
• Act as a leader in facilitating the document preparation process
• Supervisor progress of all document request to ensure adherence to requested delivery dates
• Monitors production volume and document quality targets for the group
• Review commercial credit approvals
• Examine collateral details for unique state or specific requirements
• Review borrowing entity organization, loan structure, and collateral requirements
• Identify special handling needs due to differing state laws
• Prepare loan documentation through LaserPro
• Completes workflow tasks in relation to the loan documentation prepared
• Prepare corresponding lien perfection documentation based on loan collateral, UCC-1s and UCC-3s for example
• Partner with Loan Closing Officers to deliver accurate and timely closing support
• Chooses courses of action or makes decisions that are consistent with policies, procedures and rules
• Recognizes the implications and risks of actions and decisions
• Applies logic and insight in making decisions and coming to sound conclusions
• Demonstrates a strong sense of ownership and a commitment to achieving meaningful results
• Prioritizes and balances time, actions, resources and initiatives to ensure results are achieved
• Readily and resourcefully adapts to changing needs, conditions, priorities or opportunities
Requirements
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
• Preferred successful leadership qualities in production environment
• Preferred commercial loan documentation knowledge/experience
• Required 3-5 years prior banking experience
• Preferred 5-7 years prior banking experience
• Preferred LaserPro experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal business partners
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with or without the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
Work Schedule
Days: Monday – Friday
Time: 8am to 5pm
