The Content Marketing Specialist supports the Content Marketing Manager in the execution of our firm-wide content marketing strategy to generate new client leads, nurture prospects and clients, and grow sales. This position is looked to for strategic marketing communications insight, project management, and writing and editing expertise.
Responsibilities
• Conceptualize and produce articles, case studies, guides, videos, infographics, presentations, campaign emails, and other content marketing pieces
• Contribute to the development and execution of content marketing strategies
• Serve as a consultant to industry and service content creators (marketing managers) by participating in content source interviews and helping to shape editorial plans
• Collaborate with digital marketing team to distribute content, track content performance, and optimize content for SEO, specific channels, and target audiences
• Help maintain editorial calendar utilized by firm-wide marketing managers
• Identify and assess latest content marketing trends
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required, emphasis in marketing, journalism, public relations or related field preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience required; experience in an agency and/or corporate setting or professional services environment preferred
• Outstanding writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Experience administering well-orchestrated content campaigns to drive lead generation and nurturing across targeted segments
• Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what will engage audiences and how to create it
• Knowledgeable of SEO practices, strategies, tools and trends, especially as they apply to content marketing
• Ability to analyze and report on content and campaign performance using Google Analytics and other software; adept at testing tools and methodologies, with a bias for data-driven content optimization strategies
• Strong executive presence with diplomacy, good judgment, and the ability to effectively interface with all levels within the firm
• Strong project management skills with the ability to own and drive a project schedule from start to finish. This includes managing peers and individuals senior to you
• Working familiarity with the Chicago Manual of Style preferred
