Santander has an opening for a Senior Retail Product Manager to join our Deposit Product team and manage the savings products within Retail Banking, particularly our money market savings and CD/IRA product set. This role will develop product strategy, determine enhancements to existing services, direct new service/product development and support product innovation. The incumbent will Interface with technology, compliance, legal, risk, marketing, network, operations, sales and other divisions.
Responsibilities:
• Interface with and build strong working relationships with all areas of the organization, especially Technology partners, necessary to develop and deploy new products, implement changes to existing products as well as enhancements to processes.
• Partner with Marketing and the Branch Network to effectively communicate all changes to product set, including interest rate changes. Review and approve all marketing materials and disclosures related to product set.
• In conjunction with various partners from finance, pricing and analytics, channels, marketing, operations and technology, conduct rigorous end-to-end product reviews to ensure each product is being delivered as intended, determine any performance enhancements and, ascertain product profitability for proper forecasting.
• Develop pricing strategies for savings, money market savings and CD/IRA products in conjunction with Director of Pricing and Analysis.
• Develop, test and implement enhancements to the features and benefits of savings, money market savings and CD/IRA CD products.
• Research, design and develop new value added services to augment and enhance Santander’s product lines, improve competitive position, and increase revenues while ensuring compliance with all appropriate regulations and rules.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree required (preferred areas of study are Business, Finance or Marketing); advanced degree a plus
• At least 10 years of experience, preferably in financial services product management, product development and/or marketing
• Knowledge around deposit pricing strategies
• Skilled in building and maintaining strong working relationships across diverse groups of internal resources required to complete projects
• Strong working knowledge of and experience with regulations pertaining to product set, especially Reg D and Reg DD
• Skilled in developing business cases to support programs/changes
• Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and project management skills
