Dealer Business Development Manager

Sandvik Mining & Rock Technology is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a leading global supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining industry. The offering covers rock drilling, rock cutting, rock crushing, loading and hauling and materials handling.
Key performance areas
The Dealer Business Development Manager is responsible for managing and coaching a team that will support Sandvik supply chain. You will also lead strategic demand planning activities, work with Customer Service Center for the USA region, and develop a strategy to manage inventory levels to minimize stock holdings while maximizing supply ability.
Additional responsibilities include:
• Adding value to the operations and ensuring the right parts are in the right place for all Sandvik operations and customers
• Ensuring the lowest logistic cost to Sandvik and customers adding value to the bottom line
• Creating and executing a strategy to achieve the Best Practice for parts distribution and logistics networks
• Coordinating local stock movements to customers/workshop and from closest Core Network (satellite or Hub) location stocking point
• Managing resources to meet targets and capacity requirements
• Communicating trends and create executive summary reports for high-level presentations
• Providing input into strategic plans for the continued expansion of services and Capital Equipment sales
• Carrying out regular audits to ascertain the stock level
• Providing regular parts stock movement reports as requested /necessary to update stockroom (including Consignment stocks) balances
• Managing freight movement from local stockroom to the customer for delivery timeliness and completeness
• Maintaining physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
• Managing all consignment stock for the USA market
• Proposing appropriate stock levels to the operations and customers
• Managing the Customer Service Support Team
Your profile
You must possess minimum of five years Business and Commercial Management experience in Mining and/or Construction and service environment as well as five years of sales Experience with direct contact with End-Customer and/or Dealers. You are proficient in the Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel) and PC/web applications. Knowledge of and experience with customer and dealer relation’s as well as service product development and marketing plans strongly preferred. Experience with supply and materials management, forecasting, operational buying, expediting & distribution planning a plus.
You are driven and dedicated, with a high level of initiative. Your attention to detail is top-notch and you are extremely organized. You are comfortable interacting with internal and external stakeholders of all levels and are a relationship-oriented self-starter. You have a high level of drive and determination to achieve targets and goals set for customer satisfaction.
The willingness to travel 50% of the time is a must.
