Job Description
• Provide necessary definition, development and deployment of the product quality assurance strategy, addressing all phases of product development.
• Maintain product consistency throughout product cycle to include the design, define and build phases through quality checkpoints and testing
• Directly supervise Quality Assurance Test leads, Engineers and Testers
• Manage department and overall expectations pertaining to setting accurate schedules, costs and resources
• Ensure delivery against QA department goals and objectives, i.e. meeting commitments and coordinating the overall quality assurance schedule. Anticipates program release problems and takes corrective action, escalating as needed, to resolve and achieve commitments
• Develop and manage quality assurance metrics
• Lead efforts to enhance and make the testing process more efficient
• Develop, write and manage the execution of an overall software testing strategy
• Oversee the design and implementation of validation procedures, test plans, and test cases
• Implement software testing automation and deployment tools
• Develop and execute upon application performance testing strategy
• Perform other duties as requested
Qualifications
• Minimum of 15 years’ experience in IT field with 7 in IT leadership position, out of which 5 years in banking / financial sector
• The ability to manage all areas of IT Quality Assurance on different IT architectures, and then communicate metrics to other executives on any risk and corrective actions.
• The ability to work with various IT teams and cross functional teams.
• Solid understanding and implementation experience of various automation and performance testing tools.
• Excellent problem solving, interpersonal communication and project management skills are a must
• Strong analytical skills and experience with implementation and administration of Software Quality Assurance metrics and tools such as defect profiles and performance to entry/exit criteria
• Must have a desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process and product quality and reliability.
• Strong understanding of different software development life cycles (agile) and contemporary software quality assurance processes and automated tools
• Experience in SaaS based platforms
• Must be extremely detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication
• Communication and presentation, to be both the subject matter expert and advocate QA in the executive suite.
• Process and policies development and administration.
• DR and application support planning and strategic management.
• Leadership, collaboration and conflict resolution.
• Supervisory and management.
