JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for working closely with the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and SVP of Marketing in developing and implementing the communication, public relations, and cultural strategies for Banc of California. Performs all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop strategic communication plans, create original content for articles, websites, video and other forms of digital media, execute multi-channel communications, collaborate with our internal stakeholders, and partner with HR & Marketing colleagues to drive cultural and branding initiatives.
2. Direct the development and implementation of communications and cultural initiatives for high impact offerings, enabling programs, services, events and/or products to meet business objectives.
3. Responsible to enhance the banks programs and services, identify and implement process improvements and direct cross-functional collaboration across the organization.
4. Treats people with respect; keeps commitments; inspires the trust of others; works ethically and with integrity; upholds organizational values; accepts responsibility for own actions.
5. Follows policies and procedures; completes tasks correctly and on time; supports the company’s goals and values.

Qualifications
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position including but not limited to the following: Regulation Z (Truth in Lending Act), Regulation B (Equal Credit Opportunity Act), Fair Housing Act (FHA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) in conjunction with the USA PATRIOT Act, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Customer Information Program (CIP), Right to Financial Privacy Act (RFPA, state and federal) and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA).
• Strong knowledge of Company operational policies and procedures, and the Company’s products and services.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to development, document, and explain the strategy to diverse audiences, both technology and business, from executives to staff.
• Ability to work across multiple cross functional teams with a variety of stakeholders to achieve objectives
• Advanced skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; intermediate typing skills to meet production needs of the position.
• Demonstrated multi-channel content development and management expertise.
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and professional printing/publishing skills.
• Very detail oriented with extraordinary organizational and “get it done” skills.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and teaming skills.
• Quick learner, strong work ethic, and great attitude.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR LICENSES:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience working in a complex organization leading communications, PR, IR, and/or cultural initiatives.
