Group Manager, Internal Digital Content and Intranet Strategy
The Group Manager, Internal Digital Content and Intranet Strategy, will have responsibility for driving content and strategy for MySource, BNY Mellon’s intranet for 52,000 employees. The individual will lead a newly created team of professionals who set guidelines, coordinate, develop, publish and measure the effectiveness of content for the intranet. The leader should have deep experience in, and a passion for, building and managing best-in-class employee intranets. He or she will work in concert with colleagues in Communications, Technology, Human Resources and other areas to maximize the value of the content published on internal digital channels. The position reports to the Head of Content Strategy and is based in New York City or Pittsburgh.
Responsibilities:
• As a key member of the newly formed intranet steering committee, define a vision, strategy and plan for the continuous enhancement of BNY Mellon’s intranet.
• Identify and advocate for the adoption of intranet and digital content best practices.
• Work collaboratively with Internal Communications, Technology, Human Resources, and other key stakeholders to execute against agreed upon plans and ensure an excellent user experience for employees.
• Plan and oversee the creation of quality content in a variety of engaging formats (e.g., articles, videos, executive blogs, infographics, etc.).
• Encourage and support enterprise-wide adoption and engagement of the intranet as a communications channel and collaboration tool for employees.
• Establish content guidelines, make training resources available, and provide direction to content publishers across the company.
• Coordinate with Technology team to quickly identify and resolve technical issue, as well as ensure the smooth implementation and communication of upgrades/releases.
• Partner with Internal Communications on the strategic use of digital signage at BNY Mellon locations, and provide a steady stream of content that can be used for this employee channel.
• Analyze metrics, share insights, and adjust plans with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Manage a team of four professionals. Engage agencies and outside vendors as necessary.
Qualifications:
• Demonstrated success building and managing intranets for large enterprises.
• Technically savvy with a strong understanding of emerging technologies and best practices.
• Proactive and collaborative individual with exceptional communications skills.
• High degree of attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to analyze, critique and offer recommendations for improvement.
• Experience planning and publishing digital content in support of business objectives.
• Strong mix of creative, analytic and strategic skills.
• Skilled at using Crafter, Jive, SharePoint and/or similar platforms.
• Minimum 10-15 years of related experience, including experience managing teams.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
