TMX Finance is currently hiring a Manager of Finance to join our Finance team in Carrollton, Texas. This role will report to the Director, Financial, Planning, and Analysis with responsibility to help develop and deliver robust planning, analytics and reporting for the Company’s large portfolio spanning multiple products and numerous states. The person selected for this role will provide insights and recommendations on pricing, yield, default rates, charge-offs and recoveries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Initiate data-driven innovation and build capabilities of a highly talented team
• Responsible for preparing and presenting timely and accurate key data for assessing the health and performance of the loan portfolio/revenue cycle at an aggregate level as well as by state and product
• Effectively mine data in order to drive modeling and analysis, ensuring use of sufficient detail and consistent application of definitions
• Develop and maintain models to enhance the analysis of the portfolio
• Assist in overseeing the development of a robust set of static pool/vintage analytics, metrics and reporting
• Maintain and as needed, update key performance indicators (“KPIs”) and metrics
• Provide collaborative and direct partnership with Operations, IT and Finance on data governance, process recommendations stemming from analysis and inputs for the allowance for loan losses
• Work closely with our IT partners to maintain data integrity and collaborate to ensure we are implementing best practices in regards to data utilization and consumption
• Prepare executive analysis and make recommendations to control losses, optimize recoveries and increase revenue
• Provide leadership to the Finance department in developing improvements in the level of financial and portfolio forecasting and reporting, including development of business intelligence and dashboard reporting tools
• Lead divisional projects in support of the strategic plan and special initiatives
• Responsible for overseeing and executing the monthly bonus calculation process for our Field Operations (approximately 4,000 team members)
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or business administration required
• Master’s degree in Data Science, Economics, or Finance highly preferred
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in financial services industry analysis and has demonstrated supervisory/management experience (at least 1-2 years preferred)
• Proven expertise in business analyses and a demonstrated ability to present complex ideas in a clear and effective manner
• Proficient in scripting languages in an actual business setting (software including, but not limited to, R, Python and SAS)
• Experience in maintaining and executing monthly bonus compensation programs
• Must be able to effectively liaise with other business areas
• Support Accounting in the proper application of GAAP for loan loss provision and allowance
• Strong business acumen and analytical skills are required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required
• Experience presenting research and reports to Executive Leadership on a routine basis
• Comfortable in a dynamic environment and driven by complex technical and business challenges
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Expert proficiency in Excel is required
• Standing, walking, sitting, repetitive, movements, and use of mechanical controls, such as keyboard, are frequently required.
