Are you a quick-thinking self-starter with a passion for the financial markets and a desire to work with technology? We have a brand new team within Private Wealth Management that is seeking an Associate/Vice President to maintain appropriate systemic controls and support our business.

PWM secures, develops and manages relationships with high net worth individuals, their families, family offices and foundations. PWM assists clients with building and preserving their financial wealth by creating and implementing long-term asset allocation within the context of each client’s particular risk tolerance, and by providing access to innovative investment ideas and opportunities. By combining our market expertise with a client’s investment objectives, the group delivers industry-leading advice and access to the derivatives and securities markets.
The Private Wealth Management (“PWM”) Investment Rules Team is responsible for implementing and maintaining appropriate systemic controls in a centralized rules engine coding, including the coding of rules related to trading, portfolio management and asset allocation.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
• Interpret, code, test and maintain rules to manage and mitigate business, regulatory and operational risk in the PWM rules engine
• Work with subject matter experts to develop an independent understanding of and expertise in the regulatory and risk framework underpinning the PWM business to ensure that business rules are accurate and up to date with current business needs and regulatory developments
• Assist with resolution of pre- and post-trade inquiries regarding applicable rules
• Work with Strategists and Technologists to test and implement new software and systems, and source data to improve controls
• Define and lead projects related to the coding and implementation of rules related to new business initiatives or regulatory developments
QUALIFICATIONS
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• Minimum of 4 years of work experience in the Financial Services sector, ideally in control-oriented roles (i.e., Internal Audit, Compliance, Risk)
• Good technical skills (previous experience of using Sentinel, Charles River or Thinkfolio would be ideal)
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work with detailed financial or other data and understand and communicate commercial implications
• Excellent attention to detail; strong logical thinker
• Ability to make sound decisions in a fast paced environment, multi-task and work to deadlines under senior pressure
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to excellence and a high level of integrity
