Job Description
Everest Insurance, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd. has a new opportunity for a Manager/Director – Strategic Initiatives & Business Analytics to be based out of our Liberty Corner, NJ headquarters.
We are seeking a self-motivated, analytical individual with a minimum of five years of property and casualty insurance experience to support Everest Insurance’s growth. In this multi-faceted role, you will support the execution of several profitable growth initiatives.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Liaise with different functional areas and business units to support and drive execution on multiple key initiatives
• Support clear definition of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to be used by business leaders
• Coordinate with members of other units to ensure Business Intelligence platform represents consistent view of KPIs
• Verify accuracy and integrity of data leveraged in a variety of reporting to drive improved insights and reporting across the organization
• Compile and analyze industry, peer, and other macroeconomic trends to develop enhanced business insights
• Develop actionable recommendations for management team based on analysis of various financial results and portfolio analyses
• Perform research to identify new business development opportunities
• Communicate results and drivers to leadership team in various different formats/forums
• Develop insights on portfolio using detailed analyses to help determine strategic approach and support profitable growth
• Coordinate with IT and other units to drive completion of significant initiatives that require business knowledge/expertise
• Collaborate with Actuarial Pricing unit to support clear, coherent communication of results
• Draft and coordinate presentations that will be shared with executive teams
Work Experience and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Minimum of 5 years of related property and casualty insurance experience
• Excellent analytical and presentation skills with an ability to analyze and interpret data; ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Strong attention to detail
• High sense of urgency and need to identify and resolve issues
• Action-oriented and strong work ethic
• Intellectual curiosity to delve into various business problems
• Structured, organized and innovative thinker
• Ability to function independently in a flat organization
• Advanced PC skills (Excel and PowerPoint are “must haves”)
• Operate effectively in a culture that promotes collaboration, execution, humility, thoughtfulness and leadership
