Program Manager
Under minimal direction, the Program Manager is responsible for the end to end facilitation, coordination, transition and management of complex, client and systems projects within the Health and Welfare product line. The incumbent will manage resources, in a matrixed environment across multiple geographical locations to successfully achieve each project’s objectives.
The Expertise We’re Looking For
Education
• BS or BA required
Experience
• 3 – 5 years program / project management experience required
• At least 3 years of direct experience with HW Annual Enrollment
• 5 or more years of experience in HW benefits outsourcing with exposure to flexible benefits, benefits outsourcing record keeping system configuration and implementation
• Process improvement experience required
Specific certifications
• PMP preferred
• Six Sigma certification desirable
The Purpose of Your Role
Under minimal direction, the Program Manager is responsible for the end to end facilitation, coordination, transition and management of complex, client and systems projects within the Health and Welfare product line. The incumbent will manage resources, in a matrixed environment across multiple geographical locations to successfully achieve each project’s objectives. The Program Manager is responsible for driving and facilitating problem solving within the virtual team to ensure success of the project. The Program Manager will also act as a support resource for peer Program Managers as they onboard/transition to either the role or a new client leveraging the PM Mentorship documentation.

The Value You Deliver
Project Management
• Leading multiple projects for one or more clients within the H&W practice
• Leading the cross project / cross functional team to develop and implement solutions to address our clients’ benefit plan requirements
• When required, taking an integrated approach to solutions, keeping in mind coordination with other product lines (Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution, and Stock Plan Services)
• Coordinating Operations, WPS, Production Support, Data Management and File Processing organizations to ensure staffing, approach, content and schedules are consistent for timely project completion
• Communicating status and resolve issues related to the project as they impact their teams regarding deliverables, time lines, and standard services
• Monitoring, tracking, and reporting project status’ / progress to Fidelity leaders and client contacts
• Managing costs by monitoring each projects’ scope (via the change control process), meeting established timelines, managing expenses and delivering solutions within the standard service model
• Escalating project issues to senior management as appropriate
Program Management:
• Managing entire programs (groups of projects) including the timely production and accuracy of system output, the timely completion of project milestones and targets for program level issues and incidents
• Handling Communications Plan, including periodic reports, executive status meetings, issues identification and resolution meetings and cross practice status meetings
• Handling Risk Plan, to identify portfolio level risks and dependencies and develop and execute mitigation strategies
• Employing reporting tools to ensure supervisory oversight for individual project execution
• Reporting mechanisms for Senior Management to ensure visibility into progress, issues and results
• Employing best practices for all common program components.
