Erie Insurance is currently seeking candidates for a training program for Inside Property Adjusters where you will learn and assist in claims handling operations and processes. This training program provides a great way to begin a career in a stable, rewarding and limitless industry-insurance!
The training program will be comprised of 12 individuals from a variety of areas for our next class starting October 22nd, 2018.
This position will work from the Wisconsin Branch Office in Brookfield, Wisconsin.

Training is a combination of classroom and field-based learning designed to prepare you for immediate success as an Inside Property Adjuster following the intensive, approximately 16-week program in Erie, PA. This training will require multiple weeks in Erie, PA and some night and weekend hours may be required throughout the 16 week training program. Further information on the program, training, and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.

Duties and Responsibilities
Participates in the ERIE Smart Start Program in Erie, PA.
Successfully completes assigned projects independently, using information and skills acquired in the training program, according to course objectives and timeline.
Learns and becomes familiar with branch office procedures.
Accompanies Property Adjusters during the investigation of claims and in handling other related claims functions as required.
Interacts with Agents and district sales managers in assigned territory to become familiar with claims and underwriting issues.
Develops and demonstrates a working knowledge of the computer based estimating system applicable to the role.
Handles claim functions such as establishing reserves, taking statements, documenting activities, conducting investigations and adjudicating losses to their final disposition.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Valid driver's license and good driving record required. Completion of LOMASelect tests required.
Successful candidate must commit to transitioning to the Inside Property Adjuster role, along with agreeing to role requirements, upon successful completion of the Smart Start training program; where 'successful' means receiving a rating of 'Succeeding' on the course-end performance appraisal.
Position requires incumbent to serve on Catastrophe duty, which may include travel on short notice to other locations for periods in excess of two consecutive weeks. Willingness to obtain and maintain any required licenses required.
