Ameritas Life Insurance Corp is seeking a Project Manager III to drive the business by coordinating and driving overall project portfolio and individual projects, enabling collaboration between cross functional teams to complete projects that drive the company's objectives on time and on budget. Those projects drive the business and company's strategy long term.
This role assists in coordinating resources, establishing overall project priority, establishing project governance structure and communicating about projects. Responsibilities also include creating and maintaining project plans, managing the project budgets, mitigating project risks and making sure projects are on track and within budget.
Essential Job Functions
• Apply intermediate-level project management expertise to lead multiple small (< 2,000 hours) to medium (2,000 to < 5,000 hours) sized, low complexity projects
• Manage all iterations of the project lifecycle from planning to implementation and closing of a project
• Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
• Define project tasks and resource requirements
• Develop full scale project plans
• Assemble and coordinate project staff Manage project budget
• Manage project resource allocation
• Plan and schedule project timelines
• Track project deliverables using appropriate tools
• Provide direction and support to project team
• Manage project quality
• Monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders, including regularly scheduled status reports defining project progress, risks, issues and solutions
• Present regularly scheduled status reports defining project progress, risks, issues and solutions
• Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
• Coordinate project evaluations and assessment of results
Requirements
• 3+ years of business experience, preferably in the financial services industry.
• High level knowledge of the insurance industry.
• 5+ years experience leading small to medium projects using project management practices methodologies.
• CAPM or equivalent project management certification required.
• Bachelor's degree
