Overview
The Business Analyst position will be a part of MGO’s internal Finance Department team. They will develop and maintain key financial models, drive metrics, run strategic projects, and assist the executive team to make important financial decisions. This position is a great way for a generalist analyst to understand a dynamic professional services firm and drive real change from initial analysis to implementation in collaboration with many cross-functional teams. You will get exposure to every part of MGO’s operations and work directly with the executive team
Essential Functions:
• Create templates, dashboards and reporting systems that allow for constant refinement and reflection within the organization.
• Analyze data to draw out business insights to help leadership make informed decisions.
• Help develop and maintain financial models for both forecasting our existing business and measuring the validity of new initiatives to inform business-driven product prioritization.
• Identify, monitor and report regularly on key metrics that are leading indicators for the health of the business.
• Assist in maintaining and updating monthly budgets across various business segments.
• Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis for the CEO, COO and for departmental leads, providing insight on budget vs actuals, cost structure, product margins and operational optimization.
• Assess new business opportunities, analyze range of financial outcomes and identify areas of risk.
• Help COO and team identify the data needed and build presentations for regular firm meetings.

Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A Working Conditions:
• Work is performed in a business office environment with limited privacy and exposure to general office environment noise from others conducting business.
• Travel, including overnight, may be required approximately 5 % of time.
• Work time beyond standard business hours may be required to complete work and meet deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications:
• BA or BS degree in business, scientific or quantitative field or 3+ years of experience with databases.
• 3+ years of experience in data analytics, consulting, and/or business intelligence.
• Microsoft SQL Server and .NET technology experience (preferred) with experience writing queries and pulling information via SQL.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Power BI.
• Willingness to work independently to complete assigned tasks, projects and initiatives.
• Ability to multitask and handle various priorities, while maintaining an extreme attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to thrive in an environment full of ambiguity and are capable of both shaping and executing on the Firm’s vision.
• Comfort with communicating findings to senior management.
• Participate in improvement of master data management process.
• Ensure and measure master data integrity.
• Strong statistical intuition and command of relevant analytical approaches
• Ability to explain your findings in a concise, actionable manner
• Ability to learn new skills and information sets quickly
• PMP is preferred.
• Possession of excellent interpersonal skills.
