Overview
About the Role:
The Marketing Summer Intern position for Eagle Lending will support the Eagle Lending team under the direction of the Marketing Manager. Responsibilities will include: competitor research and analysis; assisting in the creative development and implementation of digital advertising campaigns; supporting email marketing campaigns; support for trade shows and client events; sales support; administrative support; and preparing reports for all Eagle Lending products as needed.
The Marketing Intern will support the Marketing Manager and partner in bringing new programs focused on the rising start segment to market and transition them into the ‘business as usual’ marketing workflow across all channels of Eagle Lending and the bank as a whole.
Responsibilities
• Conduct competitive market research and insight on the client lifecycle in financial services and how competitor companies currently nurture current clients, prompting new projects and improvements
• Researches competitive retention products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising; maintaining research databases
• Support the full email marketing process from concept to quality assurance to execution to reporting
• Update promotional and marketing collateral materials pertaining to retention including the First Home Program, Deposit Promotions and Eagle Invest
• Develop project plans and timelines for upcoming retention campaigns that will occur in the Fall including the Financial Wellness series
• Support ongoing marketing initiatives, including but not limited to: email marketing, content marketing, direct mail, and digital advertising
• Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments and responsibilities.
Qualifications
• Highly collaborative, self-motivated, results-oriented and a quantitative mindset
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Superb organization skills, attention to detail, process oriented and identify ways to be better
• Resourceful problem-solver who is comfortable with new technologies and concepts
• Proficient knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel applications. Bonus if familiar with Tableau and macros.
• Ability to drive creation of campaign content and assets (whitepapers, infographics, videos, etc.) to support marketing strategy
• Digitally savvy with track record of using digital and social effectively
• Manage major risks and issues through effective contingency plans and proper escalation
• Bachelor degree in business/marketing or equivalent training required
• Always presents an approachable and professional demeanor to internal and external partners
