Job Summary
Zurich is currently looking for a Regional Assistant Vice President - Programs to grow our Western Region.
As a member of Zurich's Programs Sales Team you will enjoy the opportunity to fully apply your sales and marketing ability and account management skills to encourage long term development of new revenue producing programs,
Specifically, you will profitably grow Programs revenue through strategic Program Administrator relationships and monitor operational development through performance, financial and operations management, and special projects.
The ideal candidate will be proactive and solution oriented. They will continue to build deep relationships with the owners of the various Program Administrator operations and present the Zurich value proposition to deliver profitable growth in the region.
Client Externally Focused - The job’s core deliverables rely on delivering service to external clients and/or customers. Typically involves building relationships and promoting the company.
Additionally, our Regional Assistant Vice President - Programs is responsible for:
• Business Development relative to short, mid and long range Programs.
• Managing sales pipeline, effectively executes sales strategies and campaigns to achieve goals related to sales calls, submissions, program implementations, and production.
• Maintaining opportunity assessment with key Program Administrators to identify growth opportunities and generate referral and New Program activity.
• Creating business plans with key Program Administrators that leverage Zurich´s broad range of insurance products and services.
• Effective communication to all levels of the organization and external customers to ensure success.
• Effectively using the high efficiency solution-selling platform and integrating outcomes measurement.
• Periodic reviews with Program Administrators, observing their performance to ensure execution of the business plan.
• Qualifying accounts to meet with Zurich´s appetite and partnering with Program underwriters to negotiate and close accounts.
Job Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree and 10 or more years of experience in the Business Development and/or Sales area
OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 12 or more years of experience in the Business Development and/or Sales area
AND
• Travel required up to 50% (Territory to include: Western U.S.)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Ability to execute effective sales strategies
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Exposure to and utilization of technology such as MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and SalesForce
• Ability to facilitate critical business relationships both to internal and external stakeholders
• Strong understanding of insurance industry from a market and underwriting perspective
