Description
The primary focus of the Business Support Manager in Commercial Operations will be to drive improvements that enhance the customer experience and deliver improved operational efficiency and effectiveness. Commercial Operations supports a diverse range of products including Global Wire Transfer, Automated Clearing House (ACH), Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), Wholesale Lockbox, International Trade & Supply Chain Finance, Foreign Exchange, Interest Rate Derivatives, Cash Management, Commercial and Business Banking Loans, Asset Based Lending and Leasing.
This role is suited to an adaptable self starter with the desire to drive results and who possesses the capabilities to forge strong partnerships and deliver through influencing and collaborating with others.
Primary responsibilities include:
• Build a strong network with key stakeholders across business lines
• Identify improvement opportunities through diagnostic efforts and data analysis
• Obtain industry trend and benchmark data to support improvement prioritization
• Synthesize internal and industry data to build an understanding of current and future customer needs
• Lead local operational improvement initiatives focused on customer experience, efficiency and operational risk
• Review and redesign metrics to more effectively measure operational performance
Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience:
• Knowledge of Operations and experience in delivering continuous improvement initiatives
• Experience facilitating process improvement initiatives, framing problem/opportunity statements and developing a variety of fit for purpose solutions
• Ability to multi task, prioritize and work independently
• Track record of fostering collaboration and innovative thinking
• Ability to work under own initiative and drive results
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A track record of building and maintaining stakeholder relationships
• Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends and formulate proposals
• Outstanding ability to synthesize content and communicate high level messaging
• Excellent time management skills; goal driven while also meeting day to day business needs
Preferred Skills/Experience:
• Knowledge of Commercial Banking transactions and lending products
Education:
• Bachelors degree and 3+ years relevant business experience
• 5+ years experience in lieu of degree
Hours & Work Schedule
Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday
