The Enterprise Collaboration team manages First Republic's social intranet. The platform, named Collaborate, is an ecosystem of applications intended to facilitate company-wide communication, drive colleague collaboration and support day-to-day business operations.
We are looking for a Release Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the coordination and facilitation of the ongoing development release process to ensure smooth and timely delivery of software products or updates into the non-production environments and their promotion and deployment to the production environment. This position works closely with Design, Development and Engineering teams, QA and Stakeholders to triage defects, assist with coordinating deliverables and managing the deliverables for each release. In addition,the Release Manager will need to keep abreast of any system changes that could impact end users and appropriately notify, schedule and document potential impacts. This position requires prior experience with release management, deployment and coordination. The Release Manager/Coordinator will also be required to assist with monitoring all scheduled and unscheduled (Hotfix) production deployments after hours at lease once per month.
Essential Functions:
Works closely with varying business units, development, quality assurance teams, system analysts and change management for the planning, managing and implementation of releases.
Helps to identify, create and/or implement processes or products to efficiently manage and enhance the release processes using a combination of processes, existing tools and enhancements.
Create, review, publish and manage release plans, formal release notification and launch plans as needed.
Determine the readiness of each release based on release criteria, quality of release, production environment readiness, training and support plans, roll-out and back-out plans and risk management plan.
Responsibilities
• Maintain and update release calendars
• Own and manage the release plan
• Ensure releases are consistent with FRB change management policy
• Own and manage the weekly release planning meeting:
◦ (a) Consensus achieved among design, qa, development and engineering regarding the content of each release
◦ (b) Accurate forecasting of content of upcoming releases to facilitate resource planning
• Own and manage the software development life-cycle phases of each release which include (but are not limited to): research, design, development, testing and deployment. Specific elements will include the following
◦ (a) release documentation
◦ (b) go/no-go decisions
◦ (c) post deployment lessons learned
• Write release strategies, plan and updating of department procedures
• Perform duties & responsibilities specific to department functions & activities.
• Performs other duties & responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor.
• Responsibilities include the following: 1) adhering to and complying with all applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, etc.), 2) adhering to Bank policies and procedures, 3) completing required training, 4) identifying and reporting potential suspicious activity to the BSA/AML Officer, and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank.

Qualifications
Key Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
• Prior experience with release and deployment management is a must. 5+ years preferred.
• Prior experience managing large scale and concurrent projects is a must. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), interpersonal skills, as well as outstanding organizational skills
• High level understanding of content management systems and collaboration technologies. SharePoint and Jive preferred.
• Ability to think and plan long term, but execute to these goals in short-term as incremental change may work best for the organization at times
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to any given situation
• Ability to work under pressure in high stress situations with a calm demeanor
• Experience in defining process and procedures to manage the release cycle
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends in support of deployments
• Team player

Mental/Physical Requirements:
