The Business Banking Sales and Service Professional III is responsible for working directly with the Business Banking Relationship Managers and Business Banking customers. This position provides complex account administrative support and record keeping within Business Banking and general support and assistance to Relationship Managers. Assigned tasks are generally complex in nature requiring broad experience, skill and general knowledge of Bank’s lending policies and practices. Operates within limited direction with regard to account support and record keeping and operates independently on administrative tasks, setting priorities, procedures and follow through for accomplishing work assignments.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Interacts with customers, managers, attorneys and accountants via telephone, written communications, or meetings regarding problem resolution and/or account maintenance; serves as liaison between operational and support areas, customers, and area in-market personnel; performs research and communicates resolution of problem to customer; resolves questions and problems presented by customers concerning transactions in their accounts and day to day operational issues. Coordinate with customers to ensure accurate customer prepared reporting.
2. Interacts daily with internal and external contacts to ensure that all account activity such as account opening and closing, payments to and from customers, and requests from customers are processed timely; loan advances, deposits, distributions, wire transfers, loan bookings, DDA transfers and receipts are processed timely.
3. Assist in performance of complex administrative activities, which may include regulatory reviews, account distributions, preparation of loan documents and underwriting requests, account exception clearing, and ensuring customer relationships are in compliance through various measures of review and tracking. Assist RM with portfolio maintenance.
4. Assist Business Banking Relationship Managers in developing new lending and depository business with existing and prospective customers including preparation of advance presentation packages for bank product presentations and in-market focused sales campaigns. Work to increase customers’ utilization of product features such as auto debit and online banking. Prospect identification research through Salesforce and internet search engines.
5. Prepares documents for management review and reporting. This may include new product proposals, sales presentations, new business reports, customer performance and relationship maintenance reports. Assist with setting up and training new SSP’s and Business Banking RM’s.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of lending practices and policies, loan documentation and collateral requirements and regulations
• Thorough knowledge of deposit, loan and investment systems, report generation and information gathering
• Excellent customer relation skills focused on delivering superior service quality
• Excellent PC skills including spreadsheet and word processing applications, and proprietary applications
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through a Bachelor's degree along with 3-4 years of experience; or 9-10 years of equivalent work related experience.
