Responsibilities include:
• Assist in transaction origination. Review and recommend new transactions. Participate in due diligence meetings and site visits with issuer management and private equity sponsors; develop financial models; analyze industry trends and issues; draft approval memoranda; and present transaction opportunities to the AIG Private Credit Investment Committee.
• Manage credits in the Leveraged Capital portfolio. Review periodic financial and compliance statements; complete credit reviews; ensure accurate monthly portfolio pricing; and other duties as assigned.
• Develop and maintain relationships with issuers, private equity sponsors, investment banks, debt advisors, other lenders and internal constituents.
• Work with in-house and external counsel, to satisfactorily document amendments and new transactions.
• Follow sound risk management and compliance protocols within AIG.
• Coach and mentor junior analysts.
• Assist with special projects as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate Should Have
• 6-10 years of experience in debt capital markets.
• Four-year degree from an accredited college or university is required, preferably in finance or accounting. MBA and/or CFA preferred.
• Excellent credit analysis skills, strong negotiation skills, legal documentation experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• High ethical standards, good judgment and flexibility in achieving goals.
