Position Overview
Under limited supervision, serves as the analyst for the Trade Ops group, processing the routine day to day tasks the function is responsible for as assigned. Assists the senior analysts with projects and issue resolution as assigned.
Responsibilities
• Serves as the routine day to day processor of mid-level tasks for the major function
• Assists the senior analysts resolving issues as assigned
• Supports the senior analyst and manager in training sessions for associate analysts
• Serves as a backup for the day to day routine functions performed by the associate analysts.
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Processes the routine day to day duties associated with the group’s task list.
• Trade confirmation for the RGA managed trades
• Daily trade settlements of RGA managed trades
• Corporate Action response management and processing
• Transfers
• Document management
• Trade capture of outside managed portfolios
• Cancels and corrections
• SWIFT monitoring
• Wire set up and processing
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, math or equivalent working experience AND
• 5+ years related work experience related industry experience dealing with securities operations processes INCLUDING 3+ years of global security settlements
Preferred:
• 5+ years related work experience related industry experience dealing with securities operations processes
• Reinsurance or insurance industry knowledge
Experience using the BlackRock Aladdin trade order management system

• Word and Excel abilities

• Intermediate investigative, analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work well within a team environment and participate in department projects
• Ability to balance detail with departmental goals/ objectives.
• Intermediate oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledge
• Ability to quickly adapt to new methods, work under tight deadlines and stressful conditions
• Ability to work independently
• Intermediate knowledge of global securities settlements
• Intermediate knowledge of global corporate action processing
