The Analytics & Data Organization is part of Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management Division. The organization’s responsibility is to support Wealth Management’s strategic objectives through the use and exploitation of its data and analytical assets. Key focus areas include: support of organic growth through the digitization and delivery of investment advice, enablement of business areas by providing them the tools, expertise, and support for them to understand and analyze their own data, and the implementation of emerging technologies to improve the productivity of the Financial Advisors.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Wealth Management Knowledge Management group is part of the Wealth Management Analytics & Data Organization at Morgan Stanley. The team is responsible for driving the knowledge operating model including but not limited to: creation, management, workflow, retention, and disposition of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management’s intellectual content. In this capacity, the team will engage with consumers and creators of knowledge to ensure that content is high quality, relevant, and accessible for use by the wider community.
As member of a team dedicated to overseeing the knowledge and content process, the individual will be expected to collaborate with the content producers across the Wealth Management organization to develop and enforce standards as to the creation and maintenance of content. This lead would need to demonstrate innovation and expertise in content strategy and supporting operating models while possessing strong familiarity with leading content management technology and a track record of driving an organization to high quality content.
This role will report directly into the Head of Knowledge Management and Artificial Intelligence for Morgan Stanley Wealth Management.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work across the Wealth Management organization including the Financial Advisor community, Technology, and representatives of every business area to implement the Wealth Management Content Governance framework
• Lead the development and adoption of standards and best practices for
creation, management, maintenance, and governance of content in
conjunction with the Knowledge Management team and the wider content
creator community – the end result will ensure that content is actively
managed, complete and accurate, delivers consistent experience across all
topics, and that it effectively enables self-service
• Establish and oversee a process for requesting, creating, publishing,
evaluating, and retiring content and ensure an effective channel to collect
feedback on the quality and accessibility of content from the reader community
• Analyze and synthesize user research to guide content and overall design
strategy
• Serve as the connection between business and technology units implementing
the lifecycle processes, providing guidance and governance
• Partner with Artificial Intelligence and Enterprise Search leads on the
Knowledge Management team to ensure that knowledge is appropriately
structured and maintained for use by those capabilities – Look exploit new
ways for these technologies to improve/transform the way people access
content over the next 5 years
• Drive the coordination with content producers to prepare content for migration
to the strategic Content Management System: Adobe Experience Manager
• Assist with business process redesign, roadmap planning, and identifying
touch points through multi-channel applications
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree with strong academic record required; advanced degree
preferred
• 5 - 7+ years’ experience working on a fast-paced knowledge management,
content creation, technical documentation, or online publishing team
• Experience with Knowledge Management Process: governance of content
inventory and users, metadata and taxonomy strategy, creation and publishing
workflow.
• Familiarity with connecting content to enterprise search and natural language
processing engines is preferred.
• Experience with content management platforms and content analytics
• Editorial experience and expertise strongly preferred
• Ability to understand content migration needs and to define and execute
content migration plans
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple stakeholder needs in a fast paced
environment across
• Solid large project management skills to ensure that all project deliverables are
on time and high quality
• Proven experience developing successful partnerships with both Technology
and Business stakeholders
• Strong listening skills and verbal/written communication with ability to tailor
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects
concurrently
