JOB INFORMATION
The Product Owner (PO) is the member of the team responsible for defining and prioritizing the product backlog, so as to streamline the execution of program priorities, while maintaining conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components that the team is responsible for. For the features and stories in the backlog, PO defines measurable customer focused objectives. The Product Owner has a significant role in quality and is the only member of the team empowered to accept completed stories.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
• Set ambitious and clear product vision and communicate the story effectively to key stakeholders and the rest of the team.
• Own the end-to-end product strategy from inception, and determine business value once solution enters production.
• Build backlog of product features, i.e., write user stories and acceptance criteria together with his/her work-cell team Continuously improve backlog ensuring all items are clearly described, estimated and prioritized.
• Ensure customer-driven design thinking considering user pain points and customer experience, while using market and industry knowledge to deliver a valuable product.
• Partner with the design team and Product Manager to engage customers and validate the solution Approve each feature and provide valuable feedback for the team Drive sprint- and release plans together with Scrum Master.
• Exercise strong decision making mandate from executive group to own product E2E Work with Product Manager to create solutions to meet customer needs.
• Act as the primary interface between product managers and the IT team.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
• 6+ years of related experience.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
• Successful track record working in Agile environments.
• Experience guiding a team in product development to ensure timely, cost-effective, and efficient delivery.
• Demonstrated success building consensus, monitoring progress and results as well as providing findings on significant matters.
• Expertise in soliciting customer feedback and responding to product-related inquiries.
• Experience coordinating and developing marketing initiatives, promotions, and communications related to specific products, product lines, or product areas.
• Expertise in developing and sustaining key relationships.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders to vet product ideas and influence decision making on product enhancements.
• Experience training end user community.
