Health & Benefit Consultant
This is a great opportunity to be an integral part of our team that creates and delivers strategic solutions for our top tier clients. You will manage the scope, quality, timeliness and budget of multiple client deliverables and work collaboratively with the teams in researching, analyzing, and evaluating medical / pharmacy, dental, vision, and life and disability benefits plans and programs.
In addition, you contribute to the development of strategies to meet clients’ needs, and be viewed as a trusted advisor.
There will be opportunity to guide and train junior staff and peer review their work.
You will act as an advisor to junior staff for problem resolution and guidance on appropriate ways to deal with challenges.
Review RFP information gathered by the team, analyze and interpret the results then edit and finalize the executive summary report, and send this report to the client.
Develop and maintain personal and working relationships with key client stakeholders to transition into the role of a trusted advisor and facilitate the sharing of advice and information relevant to the client, developing new and expanded business, and gaining client referrals.
Qualifications:
• Strong project management skills
• Experience analyzing complex financial data and information in order to create innovative solutions and recommendations.
• Provide high-level financial, contract and administrative analysis for RFP’s and other projects.
• Experience with managing the quality and timeliness of deliverables
• BA/BS preferred
• At least three years of H&B or related experience
• Knowledge of MS Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communication skills
• Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment
• Experience with partnering and leading teams to deliver project objectives and the ability to work independently
• Required to obtain and maintain appropriate licenses as required by state regulations and Mercer policies
