Loan Administration Specialist II
Opportunity Overview
As a Loan Administration Specialist II you will be part of the Mortgage Servicing department at Banner. You will perform various administrative and support functions within the department.
As aLoan Administration Specialist II with Banner Bank you will have the opportunity to:
• Audit, post and reconcile funds received from investors on loans purchased by the Bank where the investor is responsible for the servicing of loans.
• Responsible for timely and accurate remittance and reconciliation of payments, service fees, and payoffs to investors in accordance with individual investor requirements.
• Correspond with investors regarding changes in policies and procedures related to servicing of loans either by the Bank or the investor.
• Monitor reports and ratings by investors to ensure accuracy and high tier standings.
• Prepare management reports used to monitor and analyze wholesale loans purchased by the Bank and serviced by other banks or mortgage companies.
• Monitor and audit new loan information input by other areas to ensure accuracy of data and guarantee that all required information has been entered. Assist the Secondary Market personnel in processing new sales and purchases on the data processing system.
• Answer customer inquiries regarding annual account statements, payoffs, reconveyances, escrow account analysis, adjustable rate (ARM) changes, and general loan administration questions.
• Enter tax, insurance, and various other loan administration and codes on the loan system. Assist in the collection and tracking of files and documents for various audits/examinations.
• Monitor loan suspense balances to keep minimized.
• Solicit, activate, change, or cancel automatic payment plans, both ACH and AFT.
• Comply with policies, procedures, security requirements, and government regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Certifications
• High School diploma or equivalent required
Experience
• 3 or more years of mortgage banking, account reconciliation, and/or investor reporting experience
Preferred Skills
• Knowledge of basic accounting principals
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently as part of a team
• Ability to communicate in a positive and professional manner through telephone, e-mail, or written correspondence with customers and co-workers
• Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations relating to mortgage servicing
