The Analyst / Sr. Analyst, Global Co-brand Business Development will be responsible for supporting the identification, development and negotiation of global co-brand, distribution and lending partnerships for Global Consumer Services Group (GCSG) and our overall business objectives. Partnerships are a key engine for revenue growth and are an enabler for gaining access to new customers and distribution channels as well as a means to broaden the scale of Card Member benefits and capabilities. The global co-brand team is a high impact group that works closely with colleagues across the Blue Box businesses (Lending, GMS, Corporate, etc.) and with international markets to achieve its goals.
This position will report to the VP Global Cobrand Business Development. Key responsibilities include:
• Support various Blue Box and international teams to ensure partnership requirements and objectives are captured
• Create materials that precisely articulate partnership value for leadership consideration
• Tailor Business Development sell-in materials to ensure high relevance to partnership prospects
• Support all aspects of partnership evaluation, deal negotiation and execution on behalf of GCSG
• Assist in acquisition and renewal of Global Co-Brand, distribution and lending opportunities
• Support strategic thinking and business development tactics in conjunction with senior leaders to successfully negotiate and close deals
• Leverage Blue Box assets and partner with key internal business partners (GMS, MR, Card Benefits etc.) to pursue strategic partnerships that strengthen AXP’s competitive advantages
• Manage team budget and internal compliance processes
Qualifications
• The ideal candidate is a curious, strategic, collaborative and results oriented individual.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize data into actionable recommendations
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to balance multiple high-visibility work streams
• Exceptional communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally and with external partners
• Experience working with/in international markets a plus
• Mastery of PowerPoint is a major plus
• Comfortable operating in a fast paced, dynamic environment
