Role Overview:
• Focused on analyzing and interpreting data inline with the business goals
• Deliver value by using data to answer questions and communicate/report the results
• Provide timely information to support senior leadership in decision making and report data to a wide range of people in the organization
• Provide direction to the data tech teams on how to set up a robust data infrastructure to increase the efficiency of the getting meaningful information and exercise discretion and thought leadership on the holistic architecture including but not limited to the data modeling, data governance, data lineage, meta data management
• Effectively serves as the bridge between data and business insights
• Present large amounts of information in ways that are universally understandable or easy to interpret and spot patterns, trends and correlations
• Oversee visualization for data mining, presentation and dashboard development
• Conduct research into data issues and reports as required
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications
Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree (Business/Computer Science/IT or related field is preferred)
• Minimum of 7+ years relevant experience
• Expert in SQL and deep understanding of relational data bases to be able to create insights from large data sets
• Ability to blend data from various data sources to produce actionable information
• Strong data visualization skills for "Story-telling" through data
• Able to simplify complex processes into easy to understand business reports and dashboards
• Ability to work in white space environment and think outside the box in defining the Key Performance Indicators and Key Risk Indicators and finding the true source for the metrics
• 3+ years of experience with more than one reporting and business intelligence tool (Tableau, Spotfire, Domo, PowerBI, Qlik, etc.)
• 3+ years of experience with Big data tools (Hadoop, Hive, Impala, Spark, etc.) is preferred
• 3+ years’ experience in Python, or R is preferred
