The Credit Suisse Credit Investments Group (“CIG”), a business unit of the Asset Management Division of Credit Suisse, is an industry leader in handling over $50 billion in non-investment grade credit assets across bank loan, high yield bond and structured product portfolios. CIG is one of the largest leveraged credit managers in the US and Western Europe, with an accomplished full-service group of dedicated career credit professionals located in New York and London. The investment process is predicated on bottom-up credit selection, which has generated favorable risk-adjusted returns with lower relative volatility than the benchmark.
• A prominent role within The Credit Investments Group (“CIG”) within Alternative Investments for Credit Suisse Asset Management (“CSAM”) as a Client Portfolio Manager. CIG is an industry leader in handling leveraged loans, high yield bonds, structured credit, and opportunistic credit portfolios with over $50billion in assets under management across these strategies. Products include commingled funds, separate accounts, and CLOs.
• Opportunity to serve as liaison between Portfolio Management Team, CSAM Distribution Team, and internal Credit Suisse channels (Fixed Income, Private Bank) to identify client opportunities, pre-qualify prospects, conduct initial meetings, explain the investment philosophy, process and performance of specific investment products, handle follow-ups, and organize conferences and roadshows
• Understand competitor offerings and provide dedicated feedback to senior Portfolio Managers to provide competitive analysis
• Identify trends in marketplace and work with senior CIG management and product development to develop new strategies, structures and products
• Collect, organize, tabulate marketing/meeting data to present to senior CIG management, distribution team, and Credit Suisse management team to ensure they have up to date feedback regarding product line-up
• Coordinate dedicated investor communications on behalf of CIG
• Respond to ongoing client inquiries and requests
• Sound understanding of various fund legal structures and local regulations
You Offer
• Ideally 10+ years’ experience in a client facing roles such as sales, marketing, client portfolio manager, or capital markets role within an asset management or investment banking organization,
• Experience in non-investment grade credit
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to succinctly explain complex ideas
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with senior professionals
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a dynamic, time frame driven environment
• Extraordinary organizational skills and ability to prioritize between high level projects or initiatives for self and colleagues/staff
• Independent work style, high self-motivation in an international environment
• Willing to travel around 25% or more
• Ability to think strategically, familiarity with meaningful knowledge of alternative fund structures
